Getting together after the break up of other bands the guys quickly
gelled and started to play live on the local circuits and found themselves
winning a place on the Godiva Festival bill. Studio work soon followed with the
album “Glass” being released in 2001.
Trev and Andy’s alternating lead vocals, lead guitars and catchy
harmonies have become the signature of Loophole’s sound – never more evident
than in the single “Just like Penny Lane” – and they are ably backed up by
Martin and Gav’s thundering yet tight rhythm section.
A four track EP followed Glass as a taster for the full length 2004
release “Blackout” Setting the scene with the infectious “In my World”, it works
its way subtly towards its conclusion with a storming rendition of the Stones’
classic “Sympathy for the Devil” showing the versatility and diversity of the
band.
Lots of live shows continue and more recordings are in the bag for the
next full length offering rumoured to be released in late 2009.
Loophole are a hard edged rock band well worth seeing – try them out
soon.
